Question
I am interested in buying a home in a certain community, but their is no homes available.  The question I have is, should I write a letter to each home owner indicated I am interested in their property.  What Shoould I say?

Answer
Hi Gary,

Thanks for your question.

YOu could do a few things.  Contact a local realtor to what the market in that community for you.  You could write a letter or go door to door.  The letter should explain who you are and where you live now and why you want to move into the community.  Some owners may keep the letter, one might even be ready to move and call you, most will probably ignore it, but keep trying.

Realtors can do the same thing for you, if you wish.

Good luck with your move.

I am able to answer questions related to buying or selling residential real estate in New York. There are many questions buyers and sellers have about the process of buying or selling a home that they are afraid to ask or that might seem too simple to ask. For instance: in a house, why do some doors open in and some doors open out?
