Question
is there a way to get a lien that is over 30yrs old off my title. i have the name of who put it on there but can not find them on the computer. i had to be insured when i bought the house

Answer
Dear Donald;
I am not sure what the statute of limitations is on a lien, but you will most likely need to talk to an attorney to get this lien 'detached'.  If the lien is a mechanic's lien and the person can no longer be located, you will probably have pretty good grounds for its removal. However, if the lien is a judgement lien or tax lien, it may have to be satisfied before it is removed.  Talk to a real estate attorney and see what he/she suggests.

Good luck.

Experience

Anyone who is in this business and who dedicates oneself to professionalism has continued to take classes and along with it,additional credentials, awards and honors. I can list a host of them, but my greatest accomplishments happen to be those of getting first time buyers (who didn't think they could afford to buy a home)into a home of their dreams. The look on their faces when I hand over the keys is worth all of the hard work.
