Buying or Selling a Home/quick claim deeds

Question
I have my brother's house in my name.  Due to credit issues I need for my sister in law to take over the house.  How can she get the deed in her name and assume the loan?

Answer
Unless your sister-in-law applies for and gets a new loan, Sonja, the loan will forever be your responsibility. If you give her a QUIT-CLAIM deed, it will only be half the job. You will still be responsible for the loan. I do wish you well.

Expertise

With more than 41 years as a real estate broker, I can solve most any problem presented. If I can`t, I do my research. Problems with mortgages, trust deeds, foreclosures, odd ways of conveying titles. Most any good Realtor can answer questions satisfactorily, but I answer questions that most cannot. Also, ask about my hard-copy newsletter, The Landed Gentry. It can also be sent to you via PDF.
