Buying or Selling a Home/selling a home

Question
I Dottie,
We are trying to sell a home on 2 acres, we have an individual that is very interested.  She wants to pay cash for the property.  What do we need to do?  This is the first time we are doing this type of thing, so any help would be greatful.
Do we need to get a lawyer to draw up any paperwork or can we do this on our own.  We don't really have the money to spend on this.  The property was my Mothers and most of the money will be spent on a lien from the funeral home and on the taxes.
What would be your recommendation for us to do?
Thank you,
Lisa Davis

Answer
Dear Lisa:
Call a Title Company in your area and ask their attorney to do it for you. They won't charge much more than the closing cost would be anyway, and you will need this to make sure all the papers are filed correctly and the charge will coe out of the proceeds. You can ask the buyer to pay for the closing costs also.
