Question
How much should we expect to pay a real estate attorney for this service?  Would it be unethical to ask a friend who has her real estate license to help us with the forms and give us some advice?

Question -
We have a buyer for our home, so we feel half of our work is already done.  However, we need to know step by step how to do conduct the actual sale and where to get the current forms for Missouri.  My husband and I will be buying a home that is also for sale by owner.  Any advice on what to do (step by step), free resources, web sites, etc...  We will not be using a realtor in either of the transactions.
Thank you for your time.

Answer -
I recommend you consult with a REAL ESTATE attorney to put this transaction together for you. You definitely need someone who knows all the papers and documents necessary unique to Missouri. On both ends.

I do wish you well.          dixiedee13@aol.com

Answer
It all depends on how much time the attorney will have spent on your transaction. I would suggest you ask a REAL ESTATE attorney. What? $500? $1,000?

As long as you have a friend with a license, why not ask her what she would charge? Unless you have the knowledge these days, Bobbie, you should expect to pay for this kind of service, don't you think?

I do wish you well.

With more than 41 years as a real estate broker, I can solve most any problem presented. If I can`t, I do my research. Problems with mortgages, trust deeds, foreclosures, odd ways of conveying titles. Most any good Realtor can answer questions satisfactorily, but I answer questions that most cannot.
