Question
I have heard that it may be illegal to take pictures of properties for sale which you are looking to buy. specifically a property you visit is it indeed against the law to take pics of a place you may be buying  

Answer
I would ask permission from the Seller, or the Sellers Agent, before taking pictures of any property (if you are doing it on their property).  I would ask permission, even if someone was not selling their property.  Common courtesy and manners goes a long way in avoiding problems.  I would not want to violate anyone's privacy.  As far as knowing if there is a certain law or not, I am not an attorney.

I take picture of a home during the inspection process, but I first get permission to enter the house and do my job.
