Buying & Selling Thru Ebay & Other Auctions/Trading Assistants - Sell Novelty Products?

Question
Marvinator - I have 2 novelty products I created and manufactured.  I need help selling them on eBay, the web and the world.  One retails for $3 (I have a web site for just this product) and the other for $5 (fun, risque adult product).  Could you tell me if I would be wasting my time trying to find a Trading Assistant to sell these products on eBay for me?  Do TAs bother with such low-end prices?  I'm going in circles here and would appreciate your feedback.  Thanks!

Answer
The real problem with the TA program is that each TA makes their own rules.  Yes, it's probably safe to say that most TA's would not want to deal with a product that retails so low.  However, if you can sell 10-20 of them per week, the chance of making more money seems more enticing.  Unfortunately, even with a generous 35% for the TA, this would again seem to be a project not worth a person's time.

My questions come in when I see that you have a website for selling these items, and wish to 'branch out' as it were to Ebay.  Does this mean that you are not selling enough of these on the website to support your continuation in the project or is this just a case of wanting to advertise your website more?  Again, such clues may be indicative of whether or not Ebay is worth your (or a TA's time).

I hope this helps.

Expertise

I`ve been involved with Ebay practically since it`s inception. I`ve spent a lot of free time in helping people find the answer to problems as well as selling techniquest on the Ebay system. I`m more than comfortable with the Ebay system, it`s rules and policies and the why`s and wherefores of it`s day to day operation and the operations of both a seller and buyer.

Experience

Been a consistent seller on Ebay since 1997 and have been regarded as a 'source' for information on Ebay itself.
(Under Expertiese, it should be techniques, not techniquest...sorry bout that....)
