I am so happy I found your websites! I am very new to the home based business arena, and I am getting overwhelmed with all of the "business opportunities" people are trying to sell to help me get started. I listened to your recording about dropshipping on TalkShoe and was wondering if you have reviewed the new dropshipping program Chris Malta has out called WorldWide Brands or One Source? I would really like to start selling on eBay and was wondering if this program was a good thing to use, or would my money be spent more wisely elsewhere to learn this business? I would really value your opinion.

Answer I have never had the need to use a dropshipper - I have been able to find products with higher profit margins using other means. If you choose to use a drop shipper, you will want to check the following before making that commitment:
What is your profit margin? Will you make enough money to justify working with the drop shipper? Check eBay completed listings to see what is selling and if there is a market for the item.
How many competitiors on eBay are already selling the product? Is eBay already saturated with the products you want to sell? One disadvantage of drop shipping on eBay is the oversaturation factor. There are only a limited number of companies offering a limited number of items to eBay drop shippers. The photos and descriptions of the items are provided by the drop shipper. Many categories on eBay are becoming over saturated with the same exact items. Check current listings to see what is already being offered.
What is the drop shippers fulfillment timeline? Will your customers receive the item quickly? I have heard horror stories from reputable eBay sellers whose businesses were run into the ground by slow drop shippers. Remember, the shipping process is out of your control and will be handled by a third party. You are putting your business in someone else's hands and can't make delivery commitments to your customers.
What fees will you pay? Be careful with this one. You will already be paying eBay fees, Paypal fees, etc. In my opinion, doing the legwork yourself and finding items at garage sales, thrift stores, estate sales, consignment stores, clearance sales, and off-price stores will produce higher profits and give you a competitive edge on eBay.
