Hey Russel,
I recently won an auction on speakers this guy put up. After I won, I, due to some inexplicable circumstances decided not to buy it. I contacted the seller and he's fine with canceling the whole auction, which I won, so I don't have to pay for it. But we don't know how to do it. Any help on this? Appreciate it a lot. Thanks.
I would be happy to answer your questions today. Their is no way to cancel the auction after you win. I believe you can only cancel an auction 12 hours before it ends and it has no bids. The same rule apples for retracting a bid, you must do it before 12 hours before the auction has ended.
On the other hand, if you contacted the seller, and the seller is fine with you not buying the item you won, then you will be fine. You only get a unpaid strike if the seller reports it. Since the seller is fine with it, then the seller won't report it. I would also keep the e-mail or eBay message just to be safe.
