Buying & Selling Thru Ebay & Other Auctions - Traffic in my store

Expert: Suzanne Wells - 9/20/2009

Question
I opened my ebay store one month ago (I've been selling on ebay for 10 years). I have auctions and buy it now. I am very disappointed in the amount of traffic on my site. Not sure if its my store, the economy or just the mere fact that it takes time? Any suggestions?

Answer
Hi, the answer to this question depends on many factora. What type of product are you selling? What is the competition doing? Is your pricing competitive?

What are you doing to drive traffic to your listings? Do you use social media and social bookmarking sites? How are you reaching your target customer online through internet marketing techniques?

There is much more to having a successful store than just listing the items for sale. It may be worthwhile to meet with a consultant to analyze your business.
