Buying & Selling Thru Ebay & Other Auctions/Ebay question

Question
Hello Suzanne,

I have found an item on Ebay that I want to purchase. When I found it the item it was up for auction (no bids) and no "buy it now" option. I emailed the buyer and asked if he would consider a "buy it now" price. He emailed back and said he forgot to include the "buy it now" option, and buy that time someone had already placed a bid. So, he thought there was nothing he could do about it and said he'd just let the auction play out.

As for as I know, he can still accept a "buy it now" price. If so, I would like to inform him of this and how it works, and see if I could possibly purchase the item. Please let me know.

Thanks,
John

Answer
Unfortunately, once there is a bid on an item the seller is not able to add a buy it now option. Your only choice at this point is to bid on the item.
