Buying & Selling Thru Ebay & Other Auctions/selling

QuestionI listed an item with "free shipping". I got an e-mail asking if I would ship it to Australia. I took the item to the post office and found it would cost me $12 more to ship to her. I returned her e-mail, and told her if she paid the $12 extra, I would be glad to sell to her. I don't know how to ask her to pay. Can she pay this through pay pal, or should I have her send a personal check for the $12 shipping?
In the same vein, I have offered combined shipping on books. No one has asked to use it yet, but then I face the same issue - how do I change the amount listed in my ad? I've tried to find this info on e-bay, but can't. I really appreciate the help!
AnswerWhen the items are sold, you can change the shipping to match what you've agreed.
On the first one, once the auction is ended, you can go send an invoice.
Go to your MyEbay Page and log in.
Go to Sold Items and scroll down to the item in question.
On the right, click SEND INVOICE.
On the invoice page, change the shipping amount.
At the bottom of the page, click Reset (this will recalculate the shipping for the invoice and show the proper amount.)
Click Send.
The same steps can be done for combined shipping, but with one extra step.
Wait until both auctions have ended.
Go to your MyEbay Page and log in.
Go to Sold Items and scroll down to the first item.
On the right, click SEND INVOICE.
On the right, click ADD AN ITEM.
Select the second item which your buyer has also won.
On the invoice page, change the shipping amount.
At the bottom of the page, click Reset (this will recalculate the shipping for the invoice and show the proper amount.)
Click Send.
