Question
I'm looking for free comprehensive databases of "sold" values to ascertain value my assorted items. In
particular, I have many collectibles including jewelry, dinnerware, silverware and furniture.
Many thanks- Jerry

Answer
There is no actual Ebay 'Database' which can be utilized.  However, that said, it is possible to search closed items to ascertain a given value at a given time.  To be sure, this is a spot 'value' and has nothing to to with actual 'market value'.  A sale of an item on ebay means merely that someone bid/outbid enough to win the auction.

Put in  your search terms in teh search bar at the top of the ebay window, click Search.

Then down the left hand side, click "Closed Items".  You can sort by SOLD to see only those items which sold.  (Remember also that Ebay only keeps 30 days of auctions active, so it's good to do the same searches every few weeks.)

Expertise

I`ve been involved with Ebay practically since it`s inception. I`ve spent a lot of free time in helping people find the answer to problems as well as selling techniquest on the Ebay system. I`m more than comfortable with the Ebay system, it`s rules and policies and the why`s and wherefores of it`s day to day operation and the operations of both a seller and buyer.

Experience

Been a consistent seller on Ebay since 1997 and have been regarded as a 'source' for information on Ebay itself.
(Under Expertiese, it should be techniques, not techniquest...sorry bout that....)
