Buying & Selling Thru Ebay & Other Auctions/How to Begin Selling on eBay
Expert: Marvinator - 7/4/2005
QuestionHello Marvinator,
I have been buying on eBay for a year and a half and am thinking of selling items. Can you recommend websites I can look up to start learning how. (I have film to sell which is no longer manufactured. A roll of it went for US$10 on eBay a few days ago - this got me thinking.)
Thanks.

Usuff
AnswerSelling on ebay is not an easy proposition. You are one step ahead of the game in that you have found a product which is unique and which will sell properly.
The best website to learn about Ebay is EBAY. Go to the site map, and look down the left hand column. Read EVERY link in this column and then read them again. This is the place to find the day to day workings of the way to sell.
You will find the sell form and what it all means, and you will learn about ebay's policies of what you CAN and cannot do. Even though you will be selling a good item, it's good to look over this information and make yourself aware of it.
Next, look in the RIGHT hand column, for the discussion boards. There are boards for several broad subjects along with some discussion boards for selling in general. You can browse these discussions in order to learn some tips and tricks about selling on ebay.
Lastly, I highly recommend the Ebay Cafe and the Q&A Board. (There is a link to the Ebay Cafe at the top of the list entitled "CHAT ROOMS" in the right hand column of the site map, and to the USE TO USER Q&A BOARD in the left hand column under help.) Though not like normal chat rooms which require realtime software, they are user interractive posting boards. (Sign in, post your comments and then click REFRESH to see new posts. You can also tap the F5 Key to refresh the board.) The best place for answers is the Q&A Board as The cafe is a place where other sellers and buyers go to relax and to chat. Until your feedback rating is above 10 you won't be able to make more than 10 posts in one day any of the discussion boards or chat rooms. That's 10 posts total.
I hope this helps in your quest to get your sales going! Feel free to return anytime and ask again. (Sorry about the delay in answering, I did not get the standard question announcement in timely fashion.)
