Question
I have never had any experience with Ebay or Paypal. Am I able to pay for my purchases with a debit card? Also, do I need Paypal to purchase the item and do they charge you for services?

Let me be the first to tell you congratulations on your first transaction on eBay. You can make purchases with PayPal using a credit card, debit card, check or funds already in your PayPal account.
You don't need to have a PayPal account in order to purchase an eBay item. Most sellers still accept checks or money orders. You can even sign up for your account after you purchase an item. Paypal does charge the seller for using them, but not the buyer. Paypal's services are free to all buyers.
Many sellers only accept PayPal as a payment service because it is fast, and safe. Buyers really like the service because of the buyer protection policy. I hope you win all your bids!
