Buying & Selling Thru Ebay & Other Auctions/Making money

Question
Hi there, I am really interested in getting into Ebay and online buying and selling to make some dough(and not the baker's type :)). Anyway if you can give me some pointers, tips, websites and tools that would be really great. Also i was wondering what the best method of transactions would be...eg paypal or visa debit etc.

Thank you for your generosity and help.

Answer
What you are asking is basically "tell me everything I need" - which can be difficult as there are more ins and outs of selling on ebay than you can guess at.

It would be a lot easier and more effective if you would ask questions about those areas of which you are having trouble or confusion.  As in your question about payment.

Paypal is an electronic payment service. It's fast and it's easy and most everyone can get an account.  Using a Visa Debit card is more difficult for both buyer and seller because of security.  The buyer wonders if the seller is going to charge the exact sale (most ebay sellers are Mom & Pop operations, not huge brick and mortar stores) and the Seller wonders if the card is real or stolen.

All in all, Paypal is the best way to pay online, especially Ebay.  It's very secure and you can even register your Debit card with Paypal so your payments to sellers come direct from your checking account.

I hope this helps you get started and I look forward to your next question!  THANKS!

Expertise

I`ve been involved with Ebay practically since it`s inception. I`ve spent a lot of free time in helping people find the answer to problems as well as selling techniquest on the Ebay system. I`m more than comfortable with the Ebay system, it`s rules and policies and the why`s and wherefores of it`s day to day operation and the operations of both a seller and buyer.

Experience

Been a consistent seller on Ebay since 1997 and have been regarded as a 'source' for information on Ebay itself.
(Under Expertiese, it should be techniques, not techniquest...sorry bout that....)
