Question
I am trying to list an item on eBay but have encountered problems.  I wrote my own html and it works fine but won't work on ebay.  The weird thing is the first time a previewed it on eBay it worked but it no longer does.  You can find the code at http://www.geocities.com/nomoregaap/test.htm  I would grealy appreciate it if you could help me solve this problem.  The pictures just won't display when the code is put into eBay.

Answer
This is a simple problem that lies more in where you keep your pictures rather than how you code them in.

Geocities is a site that does not allow you to use the free space for storage of pictures.  You cannot link to them from another site.  This is why the pictures show up in the page as it resides on the Geocities space and NOT when copied to the Auction Description.

The only answer to this is to find another photo host.  Most ISP's give you free webspace which can be used for photohosting, and there are a few other free webhosting places on the net that will allow linking.

A parting thought, just in case you didn't know it, but when copying your html code into the Ebay Auction description, remember to leave out any HEAD, BODY and DIV tags.  These will play havoc with the auction page.

I`ve been involved with Ebay practically since it`s inception. I`ve spent a lot of free time in helping people find the answer to problems as well as selling techniquest on the Ebay system. I`m more than comfortable with the Ebay system, it`s rules and policies and the why`s and wherefores of it`s day to day operation and the operations of both a seller and buyer.

Experience

Been a consistent seller on Ebay since 1997 and have been regarded as a 'source' for information on Ebay itself.
(Under Expertiese, it should be techniques, not techniquest...sorry bout that....)
