Hi Suzanne,
I am trying to talk my mom into letting us use ebay. She's not really into internet shopping because you don't really know what your spending your money on until it comes. She also said something about strangers and her credit card. Can you tell me how to sign up, how you pay, and any other risks you could be taking by buying stuff on ebay? Thanks!
If you go to eBay and read the help section, you'll find all the info you need. Look for the seller audio tour - it is a video that shows you exactly how to do everything.
As for the credit card issue - internet purchasing is relatively safe. You are much more at risk in a resturant using your credit card when the waiter disappears with your card! On-line purchasing is even safer than writing a check - think how many pairs of hands touch that check as it makes its way through the banking system.
