Question
HI good day... i would like to ask if you have an idea of what mother board will be compatible with a processor amd athlon 3000+ or amd athlon 3200+ model??
hope you can provide me with the best compatible motherboard for that processor...
thank you in advance...

Answer
Assuming you can still find Socket A motherboards, the Abit AN7 and NF7-S were quite well regarded in their day, as well as a few nVidia based Gigabyte boards. I would suggest looking for nForce 2 or nForce 2 Ultra based motherboards firstly, VIA KT400/600 based boards secondly, and after that, find anything thats listed as compatable. Hopefully you can find something, however if this is for a new build (unless you're limited to AthlonXP for some reason), I would suggest moving to a newer platform (even Pentium 4 on LGA 775 or Athlon64 on Socket 939).

Expertise

I have nearly two decades of experience in IT, computer repair, and related fields and will attempt to provide the most solid, brand-agnostic advice when it comes time to purchase a new computer, or upgrade an existing machine. I can answer anything from the seemingly basic to the downright complicated - and will do my best to provide this information in a clear and concise manner.

Experience

I have been an enthusiast of PC's for many years, and can answer questions about the purchase/use of a new computer or the purchase, installation, and use of upgrades for existing computers. There probably isn't a whole lot related to the home computer that I haven't seen over the years.
