Question
Ok...I'm really slow when it comes to computers. I'm a nursing student starting in Jan. and I need a computer for classes. I will take ALL of my nursing classes online so I need a computer that will run 3-4 browsers quickly at one time. I will downloading the normale amount of software on my computer, but most will be on a external hard dive. I have a buget of 600.00ish dollars. I would like something that is 5lbs or less. Here are a few that I like...please tell me which one is the best choice...or what I should look for when I'm shopping.

Answer
Honestly without knowing what specific applications you need to run, I can't advise you very well, however for a conventional class load that doesn't require advanced engineering or DCC software, anything on the market would work quite nicely for your needs. I would honestly just go with whichever system is the least expensive, or offers the best warranty package for your needs. See if your school offers any form of discount program through a major vendor (such as HP or Dell).

Expertise

I have nearly two decades of experience in IT, computer repair, and related fields and will attempt to provide the most solid, brand-agnostic advice when it comes time to purchase a new computer, or upgrade an existing machine. I can answer anything from the seemingly basic to the downright complicated - and will do my best to provide this information in a clear and concise manner.

Experience

I have been an enthusiast of PC's for many years, and can answer questions about the purchase/use of a new computer or the purchase, installation, and use of upgrades for existing computers. There probably isn't a whole lot related to the home computer that I haven't seen over the years.
