Question
Hi Karl,
When I start my computer, I get the error message "boot disk failure", so I go into bios & try different restarts until it finally turns on.
I could be wrong. but I think it's trying to boot from a disk or cdrom, hoe can I get it to work properly, simple answers please !
Thanks !!

Answer
Hi John,

The `boot disk failure' message means your computer is looking for your system start-up files on your hard drive and cannot find them.  Apparently, something has happened to either your hard drive or the files - or both.  The fact that you are able to start up after `messing' with your computer tells me it could be an intermittent problem - but intermittent problems can become permanent real fast.

The main problem could be any one of dozens of things.  I would start by reinstalling your Windows operating system (XP or whatever you are using) and going from there.
