Question How much should I pay for a hp Pavilion Ze4365us with xp home edition? It has a fried battery, a cracked case where it was dropped, and broken DVD drive. It has a 30gb hard drive and I think it has a 1.8 ghz processor, and if I did buy it would it be better to put windows 2000 pro on it?
Answer I wouldn't buy such a system, at least not unless I was able to pay wholesale pricing. Based on your described condition, the system is more or less worthless as-is (generally unimpressive specs to start with (by modern standards), and extensive physical damage), as scrap/recycle to take parts from, it may have some value, if the screen still works.
