Buying a computer system/Wite keyboard

Question
Dear Karl:  Because of my poor eyesight I would like a white keyboard. I can't find a new one in the stores. I have a Dell Dimension E-521 and Vista Home Premium I tried an older Compaq keyboard with a USB connection but the mouse pointer wouldn't move. Will any keyboard work or does it have to be a Dell keyboard? I don't use the computer much so it doesn't need to be an expensive one.

Answer
Hi Al,

Keyboards these days are pretty generic and any brand will work with any PC as long as the ports match up (PS2 or USB).  I found one I think would work well for you by just using Google and searching for `large key' keyboards.  Try http://www.maxiaids.com/store/ProdView.asp?idProduct=5812&product=Keys-U-See-Key...

I don't understand your mouse problem with the Compaq board though.  They are not usually related unless you have a wireless keyboard/mouse working from the same USB pod.

Let me know if you have any other questions.
