Sorry,

Need to ask another question. I've noticed that there are some incredibly cheap, new PCs on offer from various ebay.co.uk  stores. I wouldn't dare touch any PC used by a private individual, but the specific stores seem reliable and appear to have very few  negative comments about them in the relevant customer-opinion section. What do you think of ebay as regards buying a computer? Very dodgy or worthwhile?

Hi Geoff,

These sources may be OK - but do you know what brands to look for and what kind of warranty and service comes with them?  While shopping, forget about eMachines, Compaqs, and HPs - all three are junk.

Besides the Dell I talk about on your other question, I also like Gateways, ACERs, and IBMs.
