What's a good month to buy? What months do they go on sale?

Hi Carol,

There is no 'best month' to buy a computer.  Sales revolve around competition and processor evolution.  If you know anything about processors you can watch for Intel or AMD to come out with a new model and then watch the PC's with the old models go on sale.  Brands vary in price also and usually models like Compaq, HP. and eMachine are the cheapest because they are the worst computers on the market and stores have a tough time moving them.

Currently, the best deal I know of on a new computer is an ACER Aspire at Circuit City for $399.  It has a very fast AMD processor in it and all the whistles to make it a 'do everything' computer.
