Buying a computer system/New PC

Question
I will buy a new PC. I selected the Italian Shop Mediaworld. The PC is Packard bell iMedia MC9630 (without monitor), and the price is 999 Euro. The specifications are on the website http://compraonline.mediaworld.it/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/StoreCatalogDisplay?...
The specifications were too long, and I send you just the link. Can you take a look and find the bad point and vantages of this PC? Do you recommend it?

Answer
Assuming the specifications I found for the MC9630 (your link appears to be dead, sorry) it features a Core 2 Duo E6300, 400GB hard drive, a Radeon X1600, and 2GB of RAM.

I'd say you should be set for basically anything you could want to do, it might be a little slow in a few fairly demanding games, but it certainly won't demonstrate torpor.

It should also have no issues with Microsoft Windows Vista, as all of the hardware seems to be entirely compatable.

I'm not sure what $999 Euro converts to exactly in USD, but I'm guessing somewhere around $1400 US, which makes it a fairly good deal as well, at least compared to most Dells and Hewlett-Packard systems.

Expertise

I have nearly two decades of experience in IT, computer repair, and related fields and will attempt to provide the most solid, brand-agnostic advice when it comes time to purchase a new computer, or upgrade an existing machine. I can answer anything from the seemingly basic to the downright complicated - and will do my best to provide this information in a clear and concise manner.

Experience

I have been an enthusiast of PC's for many years, and can answer questions about the purchase/use of a new computer or the purchase, installation, and use of upgrades for existing computers. There probably isn't a whole lot related to the home computer that I haven't seen over the years.
