Buying a computer system/dell home vs business

Question
I was looking through the dell website and customizing different models located in 'home desktops' and 'small business desktops'.

I'm focusing on:
Dimension 9200 and one of the XPS machines.

Question:
I have customized them both with the same specs (cpu, hd, everything), but the XPS is 600 dollars more.

Why?

Does Dell raise the prices for the home desktops because they can catch some noobs that do not comparison shop?

,walker

Answer
I'm not sure "noobs" is the market they're addressing, the price difference reflects product costs, product marketing costs, support contracts, the entire package. The increase in price for home buyers is likely due to some different components, and some different support contract handling.

Expertise

I have nearly two decades of experience in IT, computer repair, and related fields and will attempt to provide the most solid, brand-agnostic advice when it comes time to purchase a new computer, or upgrade an existing machine. I can answer anything from the seemingly basic to the downright complicated - and will do my best to provide this information in a clear and concise manner.

Experience

I have been an enthusiast of PC's for many years, and can answer questions about the purchase/use of a new computer or the purchase, installation, and use of upgrades for existing computers. There probably isn't a whole lot related to the home computer that I haven't seen over the years.
