Question When is free, free? I'm confused if download free means that after you download whether or not the program is working or not, or if now you have to send money to make it workable.Point in question adobe reader 8 dose it have pdf or maybe it's pfd, something like that and do I need to upgrade and is it truly free. I have the 6.0 now and don't now if its even working. I'm not even sure what adobe is and what it does. I do know that recently some of my usual web sights such as Lou Dobbs is still there but when you want to read his transcripts it has changed and says you need pdf. My question is this does my 6.0 version have pdf capability and not working or should I upgrade and is it really free? The web page does say its free but then suggest you get a life time support and upgrade privileges, but like most ad pages don't mention price till you give them all your personal info and/or download it and then don't want it or your to far in to turn back and cancel the order. Can you find out all the details before your on the million dollar ad list that wear's your email out and you can't remove the stinking thing from your comp.
Thank You Ty
AnswerAdobe is a software services company, which produces programs to design, create, edit and deploy content for online and print productions, such as Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Premier, AfterEffects, PageMaker, and Acrobat. Along with their acquisition of Macromedia, which expanded their software services to include Flash, Dreamweaver, FireWorks, Cold Fusion, and Shockwave.
Acrobat Reader is a free program distributed by Adobe for opening .pdf files, the program is freeware, and is only used to open .pdf files, which means it doesn't do anything else but open these programs (usually you'll see a logo appear and it will say something like "Adobe Acrobat Reader ____" along with some copyrights, and then the page will load in your browser, or Acrobat, depending on where you accessed it from).
