How to extract contents of a file in c++ using linux compiler?

Answer
firstly, C++ conforms to an International Standard and io can be performed in a platform independant manner. while there may be differences in file names and file systems between platforms (windows, unix, linux etc.), the way input/output is handled in C++ is the same. input and output facilities are provided by the standard streams library.
