Question
I'm using windows XP on a laptop; is there any place where I can get the compiler, etc. for C++ at a reasonable price?

Answer
Hello Mike, thank you for the question.

You have a couple of options when it comes to the compiler you want. I myself prefer Microsoft Visual Studio, and it can be obtained at this location:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/howtobuy/visualc/default.aspx

Also, you could get a Borland compiler from this location:
http://shop.borland.com/dr/v2/ec_MAIN.Entry16?SP=10024&PN=29&xid=39696&V1=310332

A third choice is the MinGW compiler, which simulates the Linux Gnu compiler in the windos environment. I've never used it myself, but I hear it's okay. It can be found here:
http://www.mingw.org/

Good luck coding.

If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

I hope this information was helpful.
