Question
When compiling a C++ program in VC++, in project settings, we can choose whether or not to use precomplied headers. I've some questions:
1.)What's the difference between using it and not using it?If using it, what will the difference in the compiling process and the resulting program?
2.)When should I use it?When should not?

Thank you very much

Answer
Hi,
As the name suggests, the compiler would take lesser time to compile source file(s) when header files are used.

You could always use it (use make utility just in case the header file(s) was/were updated).

For more details, please refer http://gcc.gnu.org/onlinedocs/gcc/Precompiled-Headers.html
