Question
Hello.
I am working with Visual C++ on XP. I want my program to connect the internet if there is no connection and retrieve some data from a specific location in a web page (for example in a table in the page).

Answer
There are many possibilities to do so. If you know socket programming, you can directly connect to that page using its address and port number. Also there are other tools available which let you use them in a higher level. For instance there are some ActiveXs that facilates this for you.
