Hello,

I am an electrical engineer, currently working in th einformation security field, I know much about C, I have written many programs using it but they are all simple, I need to enhance my skills and be better to be able to write UNIX and Windows applications or specifically Kernel modules and network programming related codes

For UNIX programming and UNIX network programming, I highly recommend the books by Richard Stevens
Advanced Programming in the UNIX Environment
and
UNIX Network Programming two volume set.
Similarly for Windows, you will need to get some good references. I recommend "Windows System Programming" by Johnson Hart and the MSDN.

I cannot give you advice on kernel modules references.
