Question i have an autoCAD file, dwg file, i want to convert it to visio file, vsd file, i found a way to do that by using the command dxfout, after that open the generated file with visio, but the visio file became really slow and the drawing will be inserted as a CAD object witch i could not modify it...
is there a better way to do it, or is there a software that will convert it for me.
Answer Hello Marwan
I think try this that is below again is in Visio 2003 and your drawing should as saved as DWG or DXf in 2002 or earlier versions.
To open your new AutoCAD drawing in Visio 2003, follow these steps:1. On the File menu in Visio 2003, click Open.
2. In the Open dialog box, click AutoCAD Drawing (*.dwg; *.dxf) in the Files of type box, click the DWG file that you saved, and then click Open.
3. After your AutoCAD drawing is open in Visio 2003, click Save As on the File menu.
4. In the Save As dialog box, click Drawing (*.vsd) in the Save as type box, type a new file name in the File name box, and then click Save.
