Question
Hi
I took upper division AutoCAD class at ASU. How do I get certificate in AutoCAD so I can get better job to become a AutoCAD Drafter. Please help me

Answer
Typically you have to go thru about 1-2 years in college or a technical school to get your certification. If you think you have the knowledge, take the Drafter Certification Exam. It’s an international program allowing drafters/designers prove their competence in the drafting concepts & practices. The test does not cover Autocad specifics but having this certification under your belt will give you the edge during the deliberation process. Additionally, most companies perform a pre-screening CAD test anyway to get a feel of how knowledgeable & technical you are. Visit www.adda.org to get test dates & other pertinent information. You can also check w/ your local colleges if they offer (refresher) courses in AutoCad, if it's been a while for you…hope this helps & good luck!
