Question
Is there a method to import a solid model into another solid model and then cut the imported model from the second model. For example, if we have a cylindrical bar as a model, can we import a pin, mate the pin with interference, then cut the interference volume created by the pin from the bar?

Hello Gene ...

I believe what you can do is create an assembly with the two parts, mate them in the position you want and then (while working in the assembly) edit the part you want and create the feature you're talking about.
