CAD - License Error

Question
I had Inventor installed for 10 months. My hard drive was hit by a power spike, and wouldn't run anymore, so I took it for repair. They transferred all the files to another hard drive, and put that in. Since then, none of the Autodesk programs work (including AutoCAD and Inventor). Every time I try to start Inventor, I get the following error:

===============================================================
IMPORTANT! You must reactivate your product in order to use it.

License Status [11.1.6010]

I have tried repairing, reinstalling, uninstalling and then installing, but nothing is working. I keep getting the same error. Any help would be appreciated.

Answer
You will need to call Autodesk and get an answer from them. I have had this happen before and they should be able to walk you through the process. It may take some navigating through their phone system. Part of the issue may be how this was originally loaded. Is this a personal copy or a corporate license? Is it a student version or the full version? Usually if you have the original disks and the serial number it should reinstall OK.

Try calling them or using their info data base.

Sorry I don't have a more exact answer, but this is more of an Autodesk licensing issue and I don't know enough to give a definitive answer.
