Hi,
I was wondering if you can tell me any good performance and good quality FREE "solid" modelling software like solid works? Any good free software just for me to get started. THANK YOU!

Answer
One is Sketch Up which is available from Google. It is different than Solidworks but I have seen some impressive results. Another Alibri: www.alibre.com/Affordable-3D-CADCAM. I have used this a little. It is more like Solidworks that Sketch-Up.
