CAD/ITT tech

Question
Hi, I was just wondering if employers would consider new graduates from a school like ITT tech as serious as they would with someone who just received a traditional degree?  Especially, seeking employment once an Associate degree is obtained?

Answer
Hi Gene,

I am a teacher...not an employer. I have never had one of my students go to ITT. I  have looked at the ITT program and I would say it is comparable to the CAD certification we give at our local community college.

I believe ITT has a fairly good reputation for placement. You should be able to get those statistics from the institution.

All that said, the ultimate answer probably lies in your personal career goals. If you want to be a CAD operator...ITT is probably fine. If you would like to move beyond that I would seek a engineering tech degree (AA) with a concentration in CAD.
