CAD/what is Cad/Cam?

Question
I am doing a study at school about the advantages and disadvantages of Cad/Cam but i am yet to find a quality site that has any information on it. could you give me the name of a site that you or any of your co-workers where i can find one. if not your personal opionion would be extremely helpful
