Question
Can you tell me what math skills are absoulutly necessary in CAD/CAM work. I have basic algebra and trig and wonder if I learn the programs well if it will be possible for me to get work.
I hope that the work entales translating a designers specs into the program and not much calculating.
      Is this the case?

Thank You

Manny

Answer
Hi Manny

your math knowledge is sufficient. Actually, in principle no math is required. Most CAD programmes are very user friendly and need only knowledge of the actual programme. Of course, if you want to go into deeper details, what you'll actually need is programming skills, not math. Even deeper, using programming you can type in your own math formulas. So, i wouldn't worry if i were you. You're good to go.
