CAD/Printing Issues

Question
Hi J.B., i was wondering if you could help us out.  Currently, we're using Autocad 2000i on NT platforms.  Everytime we plot, we would like to specifically insert the watermarks in certain areas of the border (username, date, drawing, etc.).  This is not possible w/ the integrated plot-stamp util.  I'm still learning Autolisp/VBA and also my boss is no help. Please let me know, thanks!

Answer
Bernadine,

If u have expresstools (VIP subscribers only or u can buy thru Autodesk), then you'll be able to use what they call RTEXT (reactive text).  Normally they show the value of a DIESEL expression.  Here are a few examples u can do:

To display the drawing name: $(getvar, "dwgname")
To display the directory path & dwg name: $(getvar, "dwgprefix")$(getvar, "dwgname")
To display plot date & time: $(edtime, 0, MON DD"," YYYY - H:MMam/pm)

Hope this helps!  It can be dont thru Lisp but thats not my area anymore.  If u need assistance, i'm pretty sure some experts will be able to help u.
