CD-ROMS & DVD Problems/New icon on task bar.

Question
Hi Donald: A new icon has appeared on my task bar. When I right click it, it says, "Safely remove hardware."
When I left click it, it says,--
"Safely remove ST325082OAS SCSI Disk Device-Drivers[D:,C:]"
"Safely remove TSST corp DVD -RWTS-H653A SCSI cdRom Device-Drive[E]"

I don't understand what this is for. And why would I want to remove these drivers? Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated.

Answer
These two devices should be USB devices and this option allows you to remove them electronically from the system prior to unplugging them (i.e. safely removing them).
