Question
I have an NEC DV-5800A dvd player, but do not have the accompanying software.  Where can I find this?  Thanks.

Hi Rich,
I assume you mean a DVD player program, since the drive itself requires no other support. I suggest you try the following link  http://www.videohelp.com/tools?s=11#11 the site I used to use for this is temporarily at least, closed for repairs. That link will however give you download links to a few different programs which range from free, through inexpensive to bloody overpriced!
Alternatively you can search for KLCODECS, this package is complete with BSplayer and classic media player and enough codecs to play even a flapjack!
