Question
The sliding mechanism for table expansion on our 30 year old teak dining room table no longer works.  I've tried the easy fixes WD40 etc., but it seems to be out of alignment.  Any thoughts on how to fix it myself or where does one even begin to look to find someone to fix that.  We live in Fairfield CT

Answer
Oh you are lucky my friend. Since your in CT and I'm just up in Boston MA. I have someone for you. His name is John Beedle. His phone # is 508-528-6785.

He is a furniture repairman who specializes in Danish Furniture. All of the tables in my store here are Danish and they have the mechanism which you speak of. So I am sure he is familiar with it. I hope he can help you!

If you are ever in my area, come check out my store.   :-)
