Hi I am looking to add mouldings, paint, and add hardware to my melamine cabinets. My house has a lot of great old character, so i would like a more classic look. This is my first time working with melamine, and kitchen cabinets, so the more help the better!

I don't know much about mouldings. But I do know that for best results you will want to sand off any sealer that is on the melamine for paint. As far as the handles go, you will want to just be careful drilling, usually recommended to put a block of wood against the side of the cabinet where the drill would come through for a clean drill. (So basically you'd be drilling through the door and into the block.) This helps to avoid any cracking or messy drill holes.
