Question
QUESTION: A t-shirt that had just been painted with t-shirt paint was laid on my dining room table to dry.  You can now read the writing in the table.  What do you suggest?

ANSWER: Hi Tammy, I assume you washed it with warm water and then hand dried it...you may have to use a rubbing compound to remove it if your table is lacquered and that didn't work...is this a fctory made table with a good finish on it?

QUESTION: I have used lemon oil and rubbed. I have also tried the iron thinking the heat may draw it out.  It is a factory made table and does have a good finish.  it doesn't look to me as if it's gone deep into the wood.

Answer
Hi Tammy, "lemon" oil is basically just white mineral oil, and I would caution you against using an iron on any finished furniture...you need a rubbing compound, or you might try "Oops" or "GooGone"...but these are solvents that might attack the finish....test in an inconspicuous area first...but if it's lacquer,(most likely), you'll probably be best polishing it off..(the Verb Polish..) with some fine rubbing compound. 3M makes an excellent line of liquid compounds, one called One step Cleaner wax....any good auto parts store should be able to find it for you.
