Question
I inherited an old (50-75 year old) bedroom suite that was "antiqued red" back in the 60's. Can this suite be refinished to near original color? If so, how difficult is it?

Hi Marsha, it's a big job.If you've never attempted this type of refinishing, I would start on a much smaller scale, as it takes some skills and experience to do in a professional way. If it's in the budget, I'd consider having it stripped by a stripper, as these old  Antiquing kit finishes can be a bear to remove fully. Any idea what type of wood it is? Post back- Greg
