Question
What do I use to create a finish on table top like you see in bars where the clear finish is real thick and they will have items under it like photos and such.

Answer
Hi George
Nice to hear from you.
This product you want is called epoxy resin.

PS..gosh that seems like a short answer LOL, so I'll go on to say that a while back someone asked the same question.
He wanted to use this stuff for the same purpose you do.
At that time I found a site online that took you through the process of doing this from start to finish in detail.
I have searched for that site with no results but found one darn near as good.
http://www.mrfiberglass.com/table_top_clear_resins.html
It details exactly what you want to do.
Good Luck with this George.

Eileen

Expertise

Hi..I can answer most questions about the repairing, stripping and refinishing of all your old furniture and wood items(the things we call antiques)I can give advice about what to buy/avoid at auctions/flea markets. I do not give appraisals on antiques.

Experience

I have been refinishing antiques for the past 30yrs. While I have taken several courses over the years,I have found that "hands on" learning is the best teacher. Perhaps I can help you avoid some of the mistakes I made while learning.
