Question
For furniture building what gauge nail gun do I need?  Im considering a 16 gauge or 18 gauge nail gun.  Do you also know of a good brand I should consider when buying?

Answer
I have never used a nail gun when building furniture. I know it sounds old school, but we have always done it by hand.

I asked my mentor who is 75 years old and has been building furniture for 50 years. He suggested if your going to use the nail gun, to go with the smaller gauge. He doesn't like nail guns, but if you have to use it, be careful.

Good brand nail guns include: Paslode, Senco, Dewalt
